I'm looking at getting a premodded Wii. Anyone have an opinion on WiiKey 2, or is there another chip I should be looking at? (Worried softmod won't last, and that more and more games won't make). Thanks!

I have a Wiikey2 and am very happy with it.

I just stick with my own region NTSC but have had no problems at all with it.

I am sure there is probably better, but I am happy with my choice.

so far so good with mine......although i have had a couple of games that dont work properly....but that is mainly due to ripping issues and out of region games....
I would highly recommend it...and if at all possible stick to same region games.....(1 NTSC game not worked out of 5) so not bad!!

Gazza!!!

i have no idea what im doing...but i will get there!!!

I personally have had 3 different types of mod chips:
1st - Argon - this was a nice choice for my D2B.
bought a new Wii after sold D2b Wii.
2nd chip was a D2C Modchip and that was hell. Read some good things but i had nothing but problems. Removed chip and purchased another one.
3rd chip - WiiKey V2 and the Solderless WiiKey board. It was easy to install and hour later was playing. I have purchased Solderless WiiKey 2 Mod Chip for other Wii's and the install was to simple.
Just my 2 cents.

To wii or not to wii? That is the question.

i have a solderless wiikey2 modchip. (PAL console)

installed easily, no worries.

ran a game from my own region 1st to set the region free.

can play NTSC games, never encountered a problem,

NOTE: not all NTSC games are 100% compatible to play on a PAL system even with soft mod or modchip

anbody got Walle NTSC to work on a PAL wii with the wiikey v2?
Im on 3.4E...this and Mario Kart NTSC are the only ones i havent got working!
Im assuming the walle game is a rip issue as it freezes when loading,
whereas mario kart has known issues....
Gazza!!!

i have no idea what im doing...but i will get there!!!
