I recently decided to update my iphone software to 2.2. This locked my sim card so I downloaded pwnage tool to unlock but at the end I constantly got an ¨error 1600¨ on itunes. I had Itunes 8.0.2 so then I read that it was better to downgrade back to the 7.7.1 so I did but got the same error. Then I tried Quickpwn and from what I can see I have jailbroken my iphone as I have now both installer packages but I still have no reception so I´m assuming its still locked. I´ve read so many different posts on this subject that I´m now totally confused. I´m also using a Mac 10.5.6 which apparently has been giving problems accesing DFU mode although I haven`t had a problem with that. So my question is....how can I JUST UNLOCK (not jailbreak) my iphone?quickpwn or pwnage tool? Itunes v.7 or can I upgrade to 8 without problems? Do I need to have my SIM card in the phone when doing the unlocking process?
