Which is a good 3rd person shooter for the ps2 wid good graphics?
I know they wont be brilliant but they should be good enough and look smooth not to rough, moreover im looking for an action game not a horror one so no resident evils etc. and no GTA i dont really enjoy it that much.
I want one that is quite fun kinda like gears of war etc. and wid good decent story(and to be honest story isnt priority the fun value is though)
thanx

well as far as really fun and decent games, max payne is the best graphcs but its fun as hell as is its sequel. then you have your more tactical, kill.switch which is hard but has amazing graphics. also on the tactical side is the socom series, there is also dead to rights 1 and 2 and also the true crime series. hope that helped. if you want more info on any of them just let me know.

I played Killzone yesterday, and yes its great. I recommend you to play Black, its a very aswome game, and the gfx are very amazing. If you think thats all then I have to mention you can almost destroy every object in the game. Like you fire some rounds on a wall then there will be a big hole in it. Also there is a lot of action in this game. This is a MUST play for the PS2.

Freedom Fighters is one of the best PS2/XBOX games. Give it a shot. 3rd person tactical. Funny story - Russia invades NY (or some other City). You are a plumber that joins an underground resistance. Similar kind of humor as Red Alert. As you progress in the game, you get other freedom fighters to control in your squad. Different buttons give them different commands. You can send thenm to guard an area, to cover you, or right into the midst of battle with the Reds. The campaign mode is great. The multiplayer mode is OK. In multiplayer, you are in an area with 4 command posts. You have to gain control of all 4 command posts to win. You start off controlling one command post and limitless squad members are generated for you. You have to use these squad members wisely to attack your oponents post while guarding your own. Fun at first, but the lack of multiplayer depth gets old quickly. Only a small variety of levels to choose from in multiplayer mode.
Anyway, tons of fun. Very good graphics for it's time. Amusing storyline - a plumber gone commando fighting the Russians who just invaded a City - yes, a City, not a Country....lol. Like I said, one of the best shooters I've played for the PS2. One can only dream that Freedom Fighters 2 comes out for the next gen systems *sigh*
And then there is Metal Slug 3D. It's a Japanese import. If you like the 2D Metal Slugs, you'll love this 3D adaptation. You can change the subs in the game to English. I love the 2D versions, so the 3D was a joy to experience. Very good graphics for a 3D adaptation. Once again, 3rd person shooter.

You guys know those are mostly third-person ACTION games and FIRST-person shooters, right?
Not that it seems to matter; they're all pretty much win.
That said, if you want another good third-person shooter, get Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII. It's great, and the gunplay is second to none-
Okay, that's a complete joke. I know. It's really horrible. Really, really horrible.
About the only good third-person shooter I've ever played on the PS2 (and I never played many, which is a shame, now that I think about it) was Max Payne; if you can get it for PC or Xbox, though, I would definitely suggest you do that. The graphics, while good on the PS2, are just much more phenomenal on the other two systems.
Besides that, I remember playing a bit of SOCOM and the experience was mostly good.
