Today I installed the Wiikey and got Tatsunoko vs. Capcom to run. Awesome game to say the least. Now thats the only game that I seem to be able to run. I tried Animal Crossing, saw the pick on the Wii menu and when I pressed start I get a black screen. Tried More Game Party and the same thing happened. Tried SMBB and I get an error message. What am I doing wrong? Do I need something to play PAL backups. I tried RegionFrii and still nothing. Any help would be nice

What region is your wii? If its the same as the games you shouldn't need anything. If they're different regions then you should boot the games through gecko OS and force the video output to the proper format for your TV.

My wii is NTSC. I try playin PAL games and nothing. Do I have to use the config cd every time I wanna use gecko os or is the a simpler way of using it

Gecko OS runs from the homebrew channel, not a CD.

And the simplest way to play your games is to just get the US copies of them. Its just a whole lot easier that way. No compatibility issues or risks of bricking the wii.

I dont have the HBC installed on my wii. I dont have zelda and the only way to get it is by buying it cnt even rent the damn thing. I dont know much bout this as you can see.

Well, if you're just using it to get the homebrew channel installed its not really piracy... So you could use a downloaded backup copy. Just make sure you get the NTSC US version of the game.

so i can just install the homebrew on my wii? without the other things? and i can still play backups fine? my wii is pal.

just making sure so i wont brick my wii. i installed nothing about it so far.
