Try Menu, 1570 into Cas System menu and press Set Default Key exit out to S*y Spo*ts 1, see if that sorts it, sometimes needs a kickstart.

And you are correct alan, it should have AU for you. Are you in Ireland? because it is working fine in UK.

Seems to be a common problem over there alan don't know why, slow update, have you tried on Sly 2 or the God Channel because it does AU, just a pain finding the best Channel with a strong signal.

Hello,

I recently updated my Starview 2 with version 4.57. The update worked perfecty but the channel categories (i.e. docmentries, sport, news etc)have now disappeared when I try to sellect channels. The Fav 1-5 options are stil available. Has anyone else had this problem, is there a fix available.

Thanks a lot. I tried all of those tricks but the darn thing is stuck on "0% data being updated".Must be a bug in the firmware,,,,

You will lose the channel favorites after an update. You could flash a channel dump file like this....

Hope this helps

The problem with flashing the channel dumps is that a lot of them are out of date, a number of channels have moved, s*y 2 being one of them. So you really need to do a factory reset and rescan and then it should auto update for you.

Hi Evastar,

Thanks for the reply, i tried the factory reset but the channel categories are still missing. The auto udpdate also hasn't worked since i updated the firmware. After i updated the firmware, i left it to update itself but afer 5 mins it still hadn't updated so i entered the c***S manually.

no bug alan you will need to have a lot of patience and try it on a few channels till you see the 0% moving, try the ones malci suggested first,if you still have no joy find the channel with the highest frequency.

Everyone has this problem mate once you do a factory reset you loose your fav categories, some boxes are sold with all this set up for you but most folk's need to do it themselves, you have 2 choices(a) manually set up your favs or (b)if we no what area your in we can look for a channel dump for you which you can upload to your box via null moden cable.
