Firefox 3.05 downloads hang at a few seconds remaining.

Okay I'm using Firefox 3.05 both on my Laptop and PC and say I download any type of file be it zip, exe or video file the file will hang.

For example 100 megabytes of 100megabytes with a few seconds remaining. And it will just stay like that until I cancel and it will not finish.


Would a reinstallation solve the problem or would one of the extensions be causing problems? On both computers the operating systems are Windows XP.


Okay the add ons I'm using are:

Adblock Filterset G Updater,
Adblock Plus,
Adblock Plus Element Hiding Helper,
Autoshutdown In Basic,
Download Them All,
No Script,
Tor Button,
Java Quick Starter,
English Australian Dictionary,
Tabrenamizer,

But people on the Mozilla Zone Forum are having the same problem also even with no extensions.
