Do disk labels/stickers cause problems?

I've been using Avery labels on my DVD's, but as time goes on I've been having problems with disk read errors. Anyone know if the labels can screw things up? (Slow the spin down, etc.)

Yes, disk labels are a problem with the wii because the drive is so twitchy.

I just write the names on the disks in sharpie. Its not pretty, especially with my handwriting, but it avoids the read errors.

Have you tried lightscribe discs? That may be an option...

Printable media is the way to go, i use my Epson R300 and print directly onto my printable media and have had no issues.
