So basically I'm in the process of trying to flash my BenQ. Here are my chipset specs -

I'm using IPrep v008.8 (latest) with iExtreme 1.5. I'm trying to follow the tutorial on klutsh for BenQ but when I get to the first step of reading the drive with DosFlash, this happens -

Seems it isn't picking up my BenQ drive? Can anyone help me with this, I'm a pretty big noob :P. And yes my drive is connected to the comp through a SATA and is also on while I'm trying this.

I think the reason it is not being detected is because of an issue with the BIOS. In your BIOS can you change the Sata Legacy mode from enhanced to compatitable, or maybe try adjusting anything that has to do with your sata ports.

Would the fact that all my SATA ports are set to RAID effect this?

Yes. Try disabling the RAID.

Ok so I tried that and I also tried grounding this time (XBOX on top of the PC so their metal is touching, I'm assuming you know :P). I got a little further (once again sorry for mediocre photo my phone does mandatory flash so I gotta cover it lol):

It cuts off, but it says there seems to be a BenQ and tries the Magic28 but it seems that fails too :/. Not sure exactly what to do when it asks for an ATAPI drive #.

Should any of this be changed?:

when it asks for the number, just press the number that your benq is on and push enter.

So I tried what you said, still no luck. Note - this time it was finding my BenQ on 0x09F0 not 0x09E0 so that's why 0x09F0 was typed in.

I'm not for sure what this new version of iPrep is trying to do. But like someone else said, try using version 6. Or I would recommend DosFlash 1.7 beta.. it is very easy to do.

just use jungleflasher in xp. I did it with a benq the other day, and i've got an intel chipset. it comes with the 1.5 firmware.
I used this tutorial, it couldn't get much easier.
