Ok so i just downloaded Imgburn instead of dvd decrypter to try to burn these DVDs. this is what i'm trying to do - put numerous episodes of rescue me onto a DL dvd. I burned the iso with dvdfab, remastered it with dvd shrink to get 6 episodes into one file that will fit on a DL. When i went to burn it with Imgburn, this error message came up:
Optimal L1 Data Zone Start LBA: none found!
image has not been mastered correctly for burning onto a DL disc
none of the cells meet the dvd-video specification criteria for potential layer break position.
anybody know what i did wrong?

Hi,
you went wrong by trying to put too many files to one disc

I?m far from expert. So I may be wrong. Isn?t Shrink for the single layer disk (DVD5)?
Try DVDFab?s ?Merge?.
(I don't understand to put compressed files on DL though.)

I do not know DVD Shrink can compress files to DVD9. Please ignore my earlier post.
@UD1
Is there any chance that you forgot to set the target size to DVD9 in DVD Shrink?

The target size is DVD9 on shrink.
Basically, this is what i do. I rip the files onto my computer. Then i use DVD shrink to pick the episodes and rip another iso with the combined file i want on the dvd. I can't use dvdfab because dvd shrink is the only program that allows you to pick and choose titles from different files on your computer.
I like doing the DL because it basically cuts the number of DVDs of a TV series in half.
If anyone can help, let me know.

I?m a newbie and learning new everyday here.
So far I came up followings. But I?ve never used DL, so I could be wrong.
You cannot burn an .iso file of DVD Shrink output to DL with IMGBurn, because it does not have a proper layer break and IMGBurn cannot set LB against .iso.
So you should ?Backup? with DVD Shrink onto HD and burn with IMGBurn (I believe IMGBurn will set a layer break where it is necessary.)
This thread might help.

However the LB may become middle of the episode. You may want to set LB manually between the episodes. You will need another tools to do so.
@UD1;
Your message this morning was unnecessary. Though I can see your frustration. I can almost hear you crying out ? Help! I got all the hardware I needed. But just coasters are piling up. I want to solve my problem. I do not care anything else or anyone!!!?
I?ve made many coasters too, especially when trying something new. And I believe so as many others. I feel here is very helpful. Many are willing to help if you know how to ask.

I saw that thread and replied to it... I wish it were just "closed" instead of deleted. :(

Have you actually read the rules? Everywhere has rules. You work, you have rules. You go to school, you have rules. You want to post in an online forum, there are rules. If those rules are followed, you would have you answers; assuming your question doesn't violate forum policy of course.
You're just one more pist off poster who can't follow simple rules ot achieve an objective. Not the first, and certainly not the last. Good luck.
EDIT: By the way, calling us all idiots (in the title of this thread) is a very mature way to handle this. We all are eager to help people that insult us.
