I have an 'older" xbox360, that has DVD drive in it I like *very* much, can I put it into my newer Xbox 360....

if you go through the process of extracting the key, inquiry, and identify from the newer xbox drive ... and then go about flashing the older drive with the new information... then sure...

but to just take it from one to the other and plug it back in... no way.
