I have not found the answer in any previous posts so I need some guidance. I am a newbie and I am trying to convert audio from a dvd to my iPod but I have not been successful. Is there a software program I need to do this? I am using iTunes and MusicMatch.

Specifically I am trying to rip Dave Matthews Live Concert from Central Park so I may load it on my iPod. Any assistance would be gretly appreciated

This only works if it's a Video DVD (no DVD-A):

Use DVDDecrypter to save audio streams to separate files. Post what kind of files you got (AC3, DTS, ...) - In most cases BeSweet (with some GUI) should be able to do the conversion to .mp3

Thanks for the help. To determine the type of files all I need to do is check the file extensions or is there something else I need to do?

What is the difference between BeSweet and DVDDecrypter?

Yes. You'll see from the extension and in DVDDecrypter during the process.

DVDDecrypter is used for unencrypting and copying DVD content to HDD
BeSweet is used for processing/transcoding audio to your format of choice.

BTW: Converting audio stream from DVD to mp3 is covered by nearly any DVD to DivX/Xvid/... .AVI ripping guide. You'll find all information you need very user-friendly explained there.
