Does anyone know about this? It sounds too good to be true. $50 for a permanant subscription. Includes software and instructions to download and play Wii games, movies etc. Does anyone have this or know anyone that does? Do the games work? Any info would be appreciated.

I was just looking for another choice for running backups. I have put alot of $ an time into this project and have had obstacles at every time. Right now I have installed a D2Pro chip and it isn't responding at all. Unable to Read Disc Erors. I installed the HBC and WiiGator etc and that didn't work. Only Wii Sports would play. Very frustrated but I have dumped like 30 games and want to play them.

Well this isnt another choice, its just wiigator with a price tag attached. All those sites are scams and the same thing.

So you've tried the chip method, and you've also tried the softmod method? Well, you've tried everything then! Like penguin98 said, all those sites are just making you pay for soft mod instructions you can find on here for free. And the links they give you are freely available torrent sites that anyone can access.
Why don't you post your exact problems here on this forum? I'm sure you'd be able to get that softmod or chip working with help from everyone on here.

Yeah. I've done 4 wii's using the softmod method and all my backups play perfect.

Right now - here is where I stand. I have the HBC on my Wii but not using it. I have tried to install the D2Pro solderless chip via the clip but couldn't do to epoxy on the board. Tried to remove the epoxy unsuccessfully. Next - I removed the D2Pro from the solderless chip clip and just installed the stand alone chip - but its like the Wii isn't even acknowledging it. It was an easy install and I am sure its in the right. Just get Unable To Read disc Errors on backup disc that I know have worked on my Wii previously with the WiiKey. I had also installed the WiiKey and got it play 3 or 4 backups games then needed to be backed up - and I was unsuccessful at this and went to all these other routes. I really have had it - but am really close to success.

What problems did you have with the wiikey?
Was it standard disk read errors? If you were using bad media that would explain it, and it could explain why the same disks no longer worked as the cheap disks can start to break down after as little as a month.
Or was it just error 001? Because thats an easy fix. Just update the wiikey.

Yeah it was the standard 0001 Disc Errors - but I used the same discs to burn other games as I did with games that worked.
I downloaded the Upgrade / Config disc for the WiiKey but I couln't get my Wii to accept any. I have HP DVD -R and + R / which worked...I have Verbatim -R, and Fuji and Sony. Maybe I should just go back to the WiiKey and try some more.
Right now I have the 5 wire install D2Pro chip and it isn't responding to anything. It is very aggravating.

I tried the soft mod. I had WiiGator and Backup Assist. It worked with Wii Sports only once. It was reading the discs as far as the Game ID # - but never played them....either gave 324 errors or other disc errors. Seomtimes it would go to the Wii Main Menu screen and then Unable to read disc....but it did know what disc was in the Wii - just never played them. I want one of these methods to work so badly - but have had so many obstacles. Any suggestions?
If I decide to soft mod and my D2Pro isn't responding - can I leave it in the Wii?

Ya, its not a problem to have both a modchip and softmod assuming that the chip isnt causing any problems. If the wii can read original games the chip isnt hurting anything.
And the 001 error is only in some games. Namely, most games made after super mario galaxy. Theres a very nice guide that talks you through updating the wiikey and using filechop to make the disks readable, but I'll assume you tried that already.
If for some reason you cant update the wiikey then you can boot the game through gecko OS to bypass the 001 check that way. Its not as clean and simple as other methods, but it does work.
