I recently ordered a legal copy of Sengoku Basara 2 Heroes Double Pack from Japan for my fiancee and I to play together. We've used the launcher to play plenty of other games with no problem, but when we play Sengoku Basara, it refuses to recognize a second wii-mote. Is there any advice someone can give? This is driving us mad!

We've tried that with no luck. It appears that only Sengoku Basara 2 does this :(

Not familiar with Sengoku Basara, but some single player games will not let you turn a second Wii remote ON. Can you play Sengoku Basara in multi-player mode?

Ug, we figured it out earlier. The PS2 Sengoku Basara 2 and Sengoku Basara 2 Heroes were both co-op, but to justify the $80 price tag on the double pack port for the wii (thankfully I only paid half that much online), they cut out multiplayer from Sengoku Basara 2, changed Unity Mode to Conquest mode on 2: Heroes and removed the cut scenes from Heroes in an attempt to make it look like a new mode.

In turn, since they removed co-op from Basara 2, which sux cuz that's the one with story mode, the wii doesn't recognize the second wiimote, but 2: Heroes does. The design choice annoys me to no end, but at least I know there's nothing wrong with the wii. After my fiancee and I fumed at nintendo for a while, we got over it and go into the game again. Great co-op game, especially to play with that special someone. Nothing says "I love you" like a scythe to the face of a thousand nameless soldiers :). Thnx all for the help!
