i wasn't sure which forum to post this in, but i choose this one. for some reason on any webpage i need to log into once i type my e-mail and password and hit log in, it says "internet explorer cannot display the webapge" but i can browse every form of the internet and it works, it just doesn't when i try to log in for sites like this one(i had to use another computer to get on) yahoo, etc, none of them work when i hit that log in button.
i've tried firefox and nothing loads at all it just tells me cannot display the webpage. same with safari. i actually use realplayer for internet because internet explorer i think 7 only goes to google and it doesn't go to any other website, i really don't understand whats wrong.
1. Check your firewall (windows firewall in control panel)
2. Run super anti-spyware and remove all infections
3. Run an anti-virus program like nod32 and remove all infections
4. Read this: http://www.duxcw.com/faq/win/xp/secure.htm
pretty much those two programs suggested killed my computer.
i ran them and then it told me to restart, so i did, and now it just sits at the emachines green hills and cloudy sky screen and doesn't log onto the computer, any ideas how to solve this
yeah, that sounds like explorer isn't starting up. you could push control+alt+delete and bring up task manager. Go to File>new task then type in explorer in the run command box.

That should bring up your icons and task bar.
sadly i cannot even get to that point, my computer doesn't even log on, it sits at the emachines part beforehand, then it normally says welcome etc but nothing, any ideas?
Reboot the computer, the moment you see anything on your monitor, start tapping the F8 key, it will bring you to a menu. From the menu, choose "Last Known Good Configuration"
If you still have the same issues, repeat the process but choose "Safe Mode with Netowrking"
If that works, then go ahead and install the programs in question.
