Help downloading psp games to memory stic k

i bricked my sons psp and took to local shop who unbricked it. he said that he had(chiped?) it so i could download games to memory stick and they would play. the version on the psp is 4.0 i have downloaded games as iso and extracted file when saved to root folder on memory stick.(formated)
when i put in psp it shows something on the memory but shows no games. can anyone help

Yea, you'd need a custom firmware like 4.01 m33 to play the iso's. If you do have a custom firmware, then the ISO's must be placed in a folder in your root named ISO.
