To ScOucer or any one else , Can you see if you can help me please. I have two Euorvox max v Black box's 2008 both genuine, SYSTEM INFORMATION, DVB-XC BOX TDA, sw / 1.0 STC4 JUN 20 07, hw / 2.0t, Bootstrap v001 , . They are working as normal but without the ppv channels. I have tried to flash them both with new firmware. My pc connects to the box and the downloader says version 2.10 detected and i start the download which seems to go ok . Then the write software starts and after 20 seconds or so the flashing DnLOad on the front panel stops that is replaced by a flashing ERR. The write continues to the end were it say's DOWNLOAD FAILED. I have tried all the new firmware and the old apart from the version on the box . Which is 20-06-07 which i can't find. So i decided to JTAG both box's. I have a jtag connector which i have connected to the internal connector. Using both JKEYS and SkYMAX 2 i have tried to clear the old firmware but every time it say's UNKNOWN DEVICE Code 0xFFFFFFFF so stopping me deleting the old software. I have tried two different pc's and a laptop and three or four different cables but always end up with the same message. Can you help me or suggest any other way of clearing the old firmware Thanks Rexxus
Hi , ScOuser. I bought them a few months ago off of Satandcable. I know they have been selling clones but these are genuine in every way that you can check , Internally ,Externally, And even the packaging everything is how it should be. The Jtag is a dual layer printer plug LPT connected to a push on 20 pin connector. Which i purchased on ebay. I have only just got around to trying them
Why is it "flown" Rexxus. Demand a refund, if they sold you it as a genuine you should be able to get a refund mate. You could also show them this thread ;)
Hi Guys , Its flown as i have opened one to check it. And they are genuine, Just can`t get the old software off. Does any one have any ideal how this could be done thanks
If they have never worked even though you opened one still send them back. Even though they sell clones I have heard they have quite a decent after sales service in regards to exchanging goods.
Ring them and ask then if you are having problems as in they wont exchange the good let us know. We can then have a word somewhere ;) or help you sort them.
I have sent one back , The one i never opened. Waiting for reply, So can any of you guys help me with the other with some suggestions about getting the old software off . Thanks
