Hey all newbie here.. Websitemakes an interest read..

Anyways few ques:-

1. I have a Jap Wii but struggle to play SOME games so I am guessing its neither PAL or NTSC? So how do I go about updating or changing a setting to make it play all games?

2. How do I check as to which chip I have in my Wii?

Ive also bought Wii Trainer but doesnt seem to be loading after you choose the game from top left from Menu??

Any help?

A japanese wii is NTSC-J. If you have a modchip installed then it shouldnt have too much difficulty playing NTSC-U games, but PAL games might be tricky because of the video settings.

If you install the homebrew channel then you can boot the games through gecko OS and force the output to be compatible with your TV.

And theres no way to check what modchip you have short of opening the console up.

Hey how do I install the Homebrew buddy? I tried opening the Wii up but noticed it had 3 sided screws and I cant seem to find the correct screwdriver..
