Hi Guys

I had a bunch of uncatagorized vids which I converted from native TechsmithSCC codec to Xvid basically to save disk space. When I converted them with mediacoderhq (freeware) they ran fine on the Camtasia player, but that changed as soon as I reinstalled Windows. Now I have reinstalled all my codecs (K-lite) but the vids failed to start. All these vids run properly in Win Media player and others, VLC etc. but not in Camtasia.

All these vids have an autoplay menu that has links to the vid files, and without this player it's impossible to run them through this menu. So it doesn't help if they run on other player and not in Camtasia. I checked Techsmith forums where an user had a very similar problem, but no help.

It seems to be very fussy.
I used a 4cc changer to change the file header to read as DivX (using lower case and upper case).
(note it doesn't change the actual codec - just the bit the the player is reading).

I also found (at least in the case of mp3) that there was no audio unless it was CBR (as opposed to Variable Bit Rate).
