What's up guys, i have an Xbox 360 from a friend that has a bricked Samsung MS25 drive so i'm going to purchase the same drive so i can replace the logic board from the bad one and install it on the new drive.. I'm confused about the part #, the new drive i'm looking at says X800473-016 or X800473-019?? The part number on his is X800473-016 , it shouldn't matter as long as it's an MS25 right?? Thanks

All you need to know is that the drive you are purchasing is a Toshiba-Samsung TS-H943 ... the next thing is whether it is a MS25 or MS28 which is the firmware revisions. Either one will work, you will have to spoof the MS28 as a MS25 if you choose the MS28. Also you will have to inject your dvd key into the firmware and flash. You have the dvd key correct? When you say the drive is "bricked" that is to assume the logic board in the drive is bad. I don't think swapping out boards will solve your problem. How did the drive become bricked?

No it's not bricked, sorry about that.. The laser is bad so i'm just trying to swap the logic board off the drive with the bad laser into the new one.

Allright, yeah just go ahead and order the MS25 and you will be able to swap boards no problem.
