First ever Xbox, first ever flash. Getting my Xbox open was a hastle. The official Team Xecuter unlock kit wasn't up to standard, and scratched my box to buggery.

Tutorials are sometimes wrong. Haven't got the VIA 6421 card so diffculties with that.

Opened up my PC to find that I cannot yet power up my CK3 as I only have SATA power connecters, not the IDE style.

Haven't even got to the flashing process without getting all frustrated.

If your unsure, and don't get it like me, just get someone else to do it. Throw them a couple of quid, and sit back and relax with a beer, or your choice of beverage, and let them do all the hard work.

Never again will I open up a XBOX

search for "liteon flash" on torrentz you should find a torrent that has the firmware and a guide.

And obviously I do not take any responsibility for any damage to your console that might result from this!

umm u really should have prepared for this more ..like maybe looking into your computer and making sure it would be compatible first.... that would have been the first smart thing to do before spending money on something that isnt even compatible with your system. so its your fault for not reading first. so u have no reason to be pissed other than making poor decisions

If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

You wouldn't believe the time I had put into this. I'm just sharing my experience to others. I guess partially it's my fault, but also partially a community problem, where there's so many ways of flashing, and so many tutorials. Your head starts to take different bits from different tutorials.

I thank the community Afterdawn especially for the help, but if I could turn back time, no way would I have done this.

yea but all tutorials pretty much point to the same basic info as far as what hardware u need. now the software and such is a different story
