Ok so here is where I'm at. I have a psp slim (2001) GOW Edition. Made a pandora battery, which I assume is correct because when I pop in the battery the green light comes on automatically and all I have is a black screen. I have tried this on both a windows vista and a XP machine to try and make a MMS. I have run Rains MMS Creator with the 4.01 m33 and DC7 and allso tried to run the Total Newbi Easy Installer. I have an authentic 2gb Sony MS and I am running the OFW 5.02. When I tried to make the MMS on vista I kept running into problems so I started up my windows XP machine. It made the MMS with no error codes but I still cannot get the MMS to work in my PSP. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I would like to put the 4.01 mee firmware on my PSP
Sounds like your battery work fine. Is the memory stick in the slot when you turn it on? if so, you should try a different magic memory stick maker program. I think I used the one stop update, so google that and check it out, then insert the magic memory stick and try it again.
I have heard that some special editions are not hackable, but not sure which ones. Did you box come with a sticker on one end with two bat codes, if so it should have a letter on it as long as it is from A-F you should have no probs if its a "G" its not looking good.
I think i know, because youve made the pandora battery you might not be able to make Magic memory this is because the battery is not normal, you may have to buy another battery but dont take my word for it cause im still a newbie to this cfw
1. Remove AC adapter
2. Remove normal battery
3. Insert Magic Memory Stick
4. HOLD left shoulder button
5. Insert Pandora while still holding the L button
6. Wait a few seconds
then the only other thing that could be the problem is the magic memory stick so try psp pandora deluxe 3.1, link is in my signature, if after all that it does the same thing that you have a psp slim that can't be modded, only thing you can do is buy a new ( usually costs $100) or used ta-085 motherboard and replace it.

@SL5K you really need to stop asking people to download your guide and post in on a forum like afterdawn instead. then you can just give out the link and help people all you want in a respectable manner
