hi,
I downloaded newest version of bit comet and peer gaurdion but for some reason peer gaurdion wont load it keeps poping up with a driver error.
PeerGaurian is unable to load the packet filtering driver.
this could happen if pg crashed and didnt have time to unload the driver or if the pgfilter.sys cant be found.
if pg crashed please run recover pg from start menu to attempt to recover from the problem
class driver-error
startservice: Ocerlapped I/o operation is in progfress
when I run recover it says no driver found no need to recover
I have zone alarm, adawre, malewarebytes, and avg installed is there any known conflicts with any of theese programs that any one knows of?
or any conflicts with say nero8 or programs like nero? if any one could help me out it would be awsome I have tried uninstall/reinstall a few times even tried older version of pg but same thing
You have spyware on your computer that doesn't like PG. I am having the same problem after I let my shields down to access a site. I thought I had it straightened out but the spyware is still on my computer someware. I had removed spyware then uninstall PG and re-installed. All looked good until this morning when I rebooted and PG loaded unable to do its work. I will have another go tonight after I take the gloves off.
OK I will probaby roll back my system tomorrow if I can't do better. It is also blocking me from downloading a new copy. That is a dead givaway. I was semi convinced I was just paraniod but I think not. I dropped down my guard to get into a forum I really wanted to contact. Persons there tried to convince me I was dreaming. Maybe it had just been lurking around and waited for be to go into a site then attacked me. I would guess it was associated with the site. I have done spyware scans and it wasn't found. I don't know what to think.
I ran adaware, malewarebyts, and avg today and found a worm hiding in a file and rebooted in to safe mode to repair/delete file and it wiped my hd clean so I did a complete reformat and clean install of 2000 and and still having same problem with pg also tried safepeer for vuze pretty much the same thing driver error i reran adaware, twice after install as well as malewarebyts, and put avast antivirus, instead of avg on here and zone alarm those are the only programs on here right now besides nero8 any ideas?
Rolling back your harddisk sounds safer. I maintain 14 days of rollbacks for C. I will need to back up what was changed and that I need. Unfortunatly, I moved probably 50+ g of data off a drive and put it on C: That drive was reformatted and has new data on it. I don't remember what all those files were.
