I have used both DVD Flick and ConvertXtoDvd with default settings or custom setting and all kind of settings and nothing works.
The movies (avi) are "successfully" converted and burned to DVD-video format and when I try to play in my and other friends DVD player, all movies run fine for about 50-60 minutes after which they freeze for a few seconds, they it resumes to play....then it freezes again (including sound)....and so on....

Please help. I don't understand the problem. I have burned with Nero etc. I have tried everything I possibly could.

Did you play the video files from your HDD before you converted them? What brand of disks did you use? What speed did you burn them at? Did the video files freeze up before converting them? Were you multi-tasking? Need more information to help you out.

The files seem to work fine off the HDD, but haven't checked every frame.
I use different kinds of DVD+R (DVD-R won't even burn on my system).
I tried all burning speeds with same result.

I was multi tasking several times. Could that be it?

Funny thing is that today I burned 2 videos and they worked fine.

I will try to keep the same settings and burn more.

Don't multi task and if your burner won't accept -R discs, replace it.

freezing/skipping of dvd movies is caused by bad media 99 percent of the time. Use only Sony dvd media (+ or -) or verbatim 16x (+) that's the most reliable media you can buy off the shelf. Also check the media section in this forum for more answers.

I always multitask when I burn dvd's, as long as I have quality blank dvd's my dvd's come out perfect.
