Is Eurovox Max V2.0 30/11/08 really the latest fix?

My eurovox max red wouldn't update the code for the last 2 days so I thought I would update the firmware. I downloaded the latest version dated 30/11/08 but it seems to be a retrograde step. It says it is V2.0 and my box was already on V2.1. Now the code update seems to work but the version I had before did a much better job of the 16:9 widescreen.
I remember before I upgraded to 2.1 that the widescreen wasn't great and the upgrade fixed it.
So can anybody shed any light on the correct version? V2.0 does indeed now update the codes properly but I really want the widescreen too! How come I had a V2.1 and V2.0 is now touted as the latest?

(And yes I have gone to setup and set it as 16:9 before anybody asks!!!)
