lately my system has been crashing whilst encoding the 'audio' elelment on some of my avi files when using DVD Flick to convert avi to DVD. as an alternative i have ConverXtoDVD, which seems to do the job. however, if i want to use the finished result from ConverXtoDVD in TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 i have a problem. first of all, recently, a movie that is 2.19gb in size that was converted using ConverXtoDVD becomes over 4.4gb once the title is imported into TMPGEnc DVD Author 3. on clicking the 'start output' button the process seems to drag, with it taking an unusual amount of time to reach even 1%, and it soon tells me that the estimated time to create the DVD is in excess of 53 minutes which is unsual as it usually takes 15 minutes tops. needless to say, after a while my system crashes before the DVD can be created. i am thinking it is obviously an audio issue. i do have the TMPGEnc audioAC3 plugin installed.

before somebody says 'why use TMPGEnc if ConverXtoDVD does the job'? i like to add a menu and other related titles on one disc ocaasionally.
