I bought a TV from newegg on 12/29/2008 for $2795.00. The TV went on sale for $1995.00 3 days later. I contacted newegg and they said they didn't offer price protection. They said they would give me a whooping $25 credit on my next order. I really didn't think they were fair on this issue.

You mean you actually bought something from Newegg that still works 2 months later? Return it now, you're on borrowed time.
-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.

I've never had a problem with NewEgg before. I bought everything from. Their policy on TV's is that they will replace them if defective, within 30 days. No refund and no price protection is their policy on TV's. I just thought it was unfair to treat a loyal customer that way.
I have computers running from Neweggs after three years. This is a policy and customer service issue.
Thanks for your posts !

They did this to me too...I bought a Pheonom 9950 for $170 2 days before the Pheonom 2 came out and the Pheonom 9950 price dropped to $130.
However, I have never had a problem with stuff from newegg being less reliable than the same product bought elsewhere. They sell lots of brands, so they do sell a lot of junk...but so does bestbuy. If you wanted "price protection" you should have spent $5000 on the same TV at best buy.
