how to flash a eurovox

sorry im new to all this,ive bought a eurovox ex5100,have got a null cable with usb,and have the software.
do i just connect the cable and click download or is there a sequence i have to go through???

hi,thanks for the info.....any idea as to why when i switch the box on it turns off and has ---- on the display??

Sorry I don't, have'nt got eurovoxes myself but have flashed a few, maybe if hiteck is around might be able to shed some light on the problem, he's one of the experts on eurovoxes, sorry :)

you sure the box is turned off....if it were,why would you get -----??it just means the null modem cable is connected,and its reafy to be flashed...

Because you have not flashed it with Firmware, flash it as per HiTeck's guide and it will be fine, so click on the link marked Eurovox and follow the guide - that is if you have the correct lead/s, you will get the Firmware there to okay.

its allready been flashed and recieves the channels,but when i turn the box on it comes on with no picture,then turns off with ---- on the display,which then shows 12 o clock,then if turn it on it works.
i have just bought a cable with 9 pin-usb to run with vista??

If the clock shows, then it is on standby and then you turn it on and it works? don't really understand what you are saying, (It's working?) and if it has been flashed then the 12.00 should show the current time!! It would be a good idea if you state what exactly is your Eurovox model and what it says in system Information, Menu and across to Config and down to System Information, post what it say's.

its a eurovox ex5100,it says in system info dvb-xc ex5100 tda,1.0 st4 jan 16 2009,2.0t k5 +d,voo1,kuro
its when i turn on the box with remote to view channel,sometimes theres no picture,then the box seems to switch itself of,then show ----,then clock shows 12.00 then i can turn it on!!
