OK first I have 3.3u with the Wii backup loader v0.3 I backup my OWN game of Naruto EX3 and it work perfectly but I try with paper mario and the game runs perfect but it screen is gray is it my cd or drive or something and something else my friend does not have the specal drive to burn his own game like the LG-drive he cant burn his game right he needs a LG drive right?sorry for bad english.

Question 1, sounds like your game is not the same region as your console/tv. Force it to the same region using the config menu in backup loader and it should work fine. But remember, don't update your wii with an out of region game!!

Question 2, yes, your friend will need one of the "special" drives to back up his games.

As merandom said the grey Paper Mario output is more then likely due to the game being PAL.

Force the game to boot in NTSC "FORCE NTSC" option. This should make it boot in color.

As for your friend and the special drive. You can burn the backup with any DVD burner. It does not have to be special to burn the backup. If he wants to rip the games from his PC then yes he needs the special drive.

An alternative to ripping via the PC is ripping it via Wii using WiFi connection. There is a guide in the Ultimate Sticky thread that walks you through the steps to do this. You do not need a special drive for this option.

He could also make backups of your backups using any DVD drive burner. If it is a backup of the game all you need to do is use ImgBurn READ mode then WRITE mode after it has ripped to the PC (this option does not need a special drive as long as the disc your ripping is a BACKUP copy).
