question:

i've got one modded/chipped ps2 and a unmodded ps 2 with a dead lens. so i created the freemc exploit by burning it onto a cd, and installed it to the memory card on the chipped ps2. the install went great, on the chipped ps2 it boots freemc of the mc and i can run hdloader of it.

edit:
problem solved. the modchip caused all the problems, found a way around it. it all works great as far as i tested. at least freemcboot works on my second ps2
