I have been converting my DVD's to Avi,s mainly because avi,s take up less space on the hard disk. Question:-Is it possible to play Avi,s from a PC direct to a television?. If it is possible are there any associated problems.

There are players (i.e. AVX-100 which I have),that will play AVI. files if you just make a data cd-r burn.Check your player for compliance.Otherwise you may need to have a video card that supports TV out.

If your video card has an output you can show anything on your TV that you can see on your monitor. The answer is yes if you have the right equiptment.

mackie just outta intrest you do know converting dvd to AVI ......if you convert back the quality you loose is so MUCH its unreal right??
