I was wondering if i've got a nand brick on my new psp.
I had 3.71 M33 on my psp, and i tried to use a tutorial on tube on how to downgrade 3.71 M33 to 1.5 without the use of pandora. I did what it told me.
And after it was done and about to reboot, the psp wouldn't turn back on. Tried to flip the switch, but the green light stays on only for a second. The screen doesn't turn on, there is no sound, and it doesn't work even when i take out the battery and use the AC.
Hope it's not since i only bought it a few days ago.

Did this method you followed allow you to do a nand backup first.
Hope you have a card reader or another psp to make the magic memory stick.
I had a card reader in my computer, i wasn't aware that my card could go in there, since it was so big and well the card didn't seem to fit.
So i figured i should find out if it's a nand brick or not so i wouldn't waste my money on buying a card reader. But then i managed to make the card fit in the reader, so i made a new MMS.
And the psp is in order now.
But i was wondering about that, making a nand backup, how do i do that?
I have a MMS now, but each time i use it i have to use it blindly. The screen is completly black.
I used the totalnewbie mms maker, since i wasn't able to make one in any other way.

Well thats good that if fixed your psp.
If you press display on the psp when you have pandora battery and mms in, does it then allow you too see.
I haven't run the pandora menu in awhile. But I know its the 3rd option down in larrylje tutorial using easy installer.

I think its "square" that you press to back up the nand.

I made a backup of my files before i tried it with the MMS that i had.
I did what you said, and i ended up with a nand dump. Thank you!
You don't know of any pictures of the option menue for this pandora setup do you? So i can use it as a "manual" since i can't see anything on the screen.
Because i've tried the L1 and R1 and the screen button... But the screen is as black as ever.

Which Custom Firmware does your psp have on it right now.
That would help us to know maybe which menu you need.
Is everything else working ok?

Well i've just updated to 5.0 m33-6.
But at the time i couldn't see any, it was 3.71 m33.
My mistake as i was told, was apparently trying to downgrade below 3.71 with a slim, which apparently won't work on any other then the phat.
I guess i missunderstood those guides and tutorials saying you pretty much had to downgrade to 1.5. But everything works fine now i think.

Ok cool, then it is probably the picture I have posted.
Because you did dump your nand using that method.
But as long as everything is working good, you should have no problems.

I may have found a solution to your Black screen in case you ever need to do this again.
Quote: by "Hercules" if you have a slim, and the green light is on, but the screen is black, dont worry, you are okay! i went thru the same problem, then about
two weeks later a found the soultion...take out the battery, hold down the L button, insert the battery (while still holding down the L
button) once your lights blink like crazy, then it worked...
