DVD transfer over internet

My sister is on a military base and has several home movies that she shot that are now on DVD. I'm looking for the fastest way that she can send them to me via internet as we don't trust the postal service to not lose them. I am going to burn these straight to DVD and have no need to distribute these to anyone else. She doesn't get much internet time but she does have a broadband connection. The movies are in a TS folder type format on each DVD and we both have Win XP. I will probably be using Nero to burn. I know how to set up an FTP server and wonder if that will be best. Does anyone have any advice?

Something like GigaTribe should do although I suspect the speed would be a lot slower for the free portion of the program, other's I've seen seem limited to 50-100 MB. Why not have your sister copy the DVD's and mail the copies as long as you're both in the same region (DVD)?

try ADrive.com... You get 50GB free online storage for any kinds of files.. You can upload a file of up to 2GB at a time, and files are stored until you choose to delete (meaning forever).

You can choose to share or keep private.. If you make "shared", you get a d/l link that you need to give to whomever you want to share the files with, so they're not freely available on the internet, only to the people you give the links..

Does take a while to upload and download (at least on my connection) and sometimes takes a couple of tries to get a large file uploaded, but once there it works great.
