Hello i'm planning on purchasing a

Pioneer DVR 111DBK - Disk drive - DVD?RW (?R DL) - 16x/16x - IDE - internal - 5.25" - black

to burn my backups onto a disk, however how do i know if its compatible with my computer. I tried doing some research but i just get more confused between a SATA and IDE drive. I also tried buying a Kreon Drive but which do i buy the IDE or SATA. I just want to know how can i find if all this is compatible with my pc. Thanks in advance

every computer can do IDE, any any computer built in the last 5 years or so can do SATA. what model is your computer?

i have a dell precision 390 which i bought 2 years ago for college. I'm pretty sure it was new at the time considering it cost a lot. Thanks for the help btw.

yeah its got SATA for sure. I would get the SATA drives as they write faster.
