Hi

Bear with me, I'm a beginner at this!.........

I am after details on how to best play my DVD backups using Windows Media Centre in vista. I have ripped a couple of DVD's using FabDVD and have created the VIDEO_TS folders. I have also changed the settings in Media Centre to show the DVD library (had to change the registry). When I select DVD Library in Media Centre, there are a couple of 1min sample movies (Vertigo and Apollo13) with cover images and film details. How do I get these details for the ones I have ripped? I dont mind doing this manually, if I have to write some details or copy the cover image file into a specific directory. I have tried to use MyMovies program that I downloaded last night, and I found this to be an unstable, and it does not use windows media centre (something that looks like it??).
I am considering purchasing a 1Tb external NAS HDD for the location of the ripped DVD's. The external drive will be networked and wired to my router. I would then like to play these though my wired xbox360 as this has windows media player, so I do not have to keep turning on my PC when I want to stream a ripped movie to my xbox360.

So in summary can you please help me with :
1/ best way to rip the DVD for later use on meadia centre (currently getting to grips with FABDVD).
2/ best way to compress/shrink that leaves the main audio, film and main menu.
3/ how to view the ripped movie in media centre showing covers and details of the film
4/ can all the ripped DVD's be saved on an external NAS HDD that will play through my xbox360 Media Centre without having to turn on my PC?

Many Thanks
Trig
