Exploit for slim PS2 Drive Suggestions?

I am thinking of starting an Exploit on a Hard Drive for my slim ps2. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type or brand of harddrive to get, and how much Gigs would be a decent amount.

Are you talking about a USB hdd, or is your PS2 a V12-V13 and your meaning a IDE hdd.

i guess a USB HDD would be the better bet.
I use a Western 500 GIG book for my computer, but could one of those be good for an exploit?

I know you can use a 3.5 or 2.5 enclosure. It should be backwards compatible with 1.1 usb as that is what the PS2 has.

You could check out the hdd compatibity list if people have entered info for USBExtreme/HDAdvance

Or you could just try the drive and see, you can only have one partition on it too work.

I have read on USBExtreme and it calls for a 3.5?? USB Hard drive Enclosure with Hard drive.
My brain just went DUH! WHATS ALL OF THIS?
is is just a plain External HD? say for instance my Western Digital 500G Book? I don't know why this is so hard for me to comprehend. Probably because im soo anxious to get it going that my brain doesn't understand what EXACT tools i need for it.

I understand. Yes your Western Digital mybook 500gb is an external USB drive.

It may work, like I say I don't know for sure.

It is just that not all external USB drives are compatible with USBExtreme. Won't know until you try.
