Hey guys!

I'm totally new to this kind of stuff...
Although I've been searching this forum for answers to my questions, I still haven't found a complete answer...

Basically, My question is how I can play back-upped games from an USB-stick, or USB hard drive.

I've seen quite a lot of programs as a solution, like HDDLoader, Swap Magic, USbAdvance, USBExtreme, ELF-files...

I understand what Swap Magic is and what it does, but I honestly don't get the other programs...

Can anybody provide me with a structured solution to my problem?

Thank you in advance!

I also want to do something similar, but I already have the independence exploit. Would it be possible to boot games from an external hard drive?

@ToledoBe - is your system modded in any way? e.g mod chip, mc exploit?

@Shugo - you need an app called usbadvance to load games from an external (usb?) drive, its an elf file that you can just copy ove to your mc using uLe as you already have the exploit in place. Also have you looked at installing FMCB? Much better alternative to the mc exploit.
Hope this helps

If it aint broke....mod it! ;)

There is also something called Ultramem64 & Memor32 that I have been reading up on but have little idea how or if they work without a boot method. I think they allow you to load an exploit to the memory card that lets you run all sorts, imports, back ups and even DivX video.

As I say I'm not too clued up but if I do find any info I'll post it!

Hanging about in a marquee...
Isn't that loitering with-in-tent?!?

Hi there. I too have a PS2 slim, completely unmodded and model SCPH700003. I don't mind getting swapdisc (can anyone recommend a decent UK based seller) but I would much rather have a USB hard drive connected to play backups of my games from. Can anyone recommend a good solution for that?

if you can get the swapdisc because it's much better computability. USBadvace/extreme are what you need for USB loading though. USBadvance is a free elf you can install on your memorycard or load it from usb with FMCB exploit or any elf launcher.

I'm trying to figure out how to format my drive with that software...

Does anyone know why USBExtreme doesn't let me format my E (my flash drive) drive?
