Is it best to rip from the dvd rom drive than the dvd burner.

It depends on what you have. My cheap Sony CRX 300 ROM rips roughly twice as fast as my Pioneer A-07. Using the inexpensive ROM saves wear and tear on the expensive burner too.

hey nick thanks for the reply. I have been having problems with copying some of my copied dvd movies. DVD Decrypter some time will not copy, and when i use Nero 6.3.0.3 disc to disc it will fail on some copying. what is the best software to copy a copy.

If copying a copy is what you're doing, Nero is as good as anything to copy disc to disc -

If you're experiencing difficulty it is probably because the media it's on is crap - not much you can do about that - try cleaning before copying - otherwise, get the originals out of storage and start over with good stuff - Ritek G04 or Verbatim this time :-)
