Hi, new user, I'm using shrink for backup, nero for burning (movie only), DVD+R dics and my movies starts to break up & stop 10minutes into playback. This has just started recently, all previous recording were fine...what's up.

For starters, Nero 8 and above no longer support Shrink.

Post the burn log from Nero.

I don't have the posts from nero, but can tell you that I'm using Nero5. Maybe I should link to Img Burn instead.

Hi Jo!

@jazzme

There are quite a few variables involved with pixellation. The more details you can provide the better we can help you get it sorted out.

@ jazzme

1. Burn at 1/2 the rated speed of the Blank Media
2. Use Good Quality Media (TYs or Verbs)
3. In Shrink set the Target Area to 4300
4. Burn With Imgburn
5. Check for a firmware update for your Burner

And as 7thsinger says the more info the Better the Help

I'd take one of those discs that pixellate at the 10 min mark,and watch that area of the movie on your pc. Also test in some other stand alone players or game consoles and see how they react to that 10 min spot.

95% of the time it's that stand alone player that is at fault.

You can also use nero tool kit/Nero dvd-cd speed/Disc quality scanning program. See how that backup scores and look at the beginning of the chart for unusual spiking.

After troubleshooting with what Berryone posted, Dirty laser lens can give that pixellation issue.#1 and #2 are the most common culprits.
