Anyone know how to recovery corrupt memory card saves?

I know there is a way to do this as I did it ages ago. I think I did something to the .ico file in the saved game directory on my memory card using LaunchELF. I got back the saved game that was supposedly corrupted and my memory card was fine after that. I've tried searching around but with no joy. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

hi, dunno if this will work on on game cards. I use it to retrieve deleted info from computer HDD, if it's not been overwritten.
