Is it better to delete old issues of programmes such as Decrypter prior to downloading the latest version?

If you wish to put all your eggs into one basket you could do that.

Me ? I prefer to download the newest download to a different location than that of the version I have been using - Why do that, you ask ? Fair question - The reason is because many times the new puppy hasn't been paper-trained and pisses on my PC (meaning it doesn't work perfectly). For that reason I like to have my "tried and true" there for a backup. When the new program has proven itself to be good, well then, say, "Bye, Bye" to the backup and keep that location free for the next "New Version" coming down the pike :-)
