How to convert MPEG2 to play back on Xbox360 via USB key?

Hi,

I want to convert some mpeg2 video files so that I can play them on my Xbox360 using a USB key, but so far, I haven't had any luck.

Are there any free applications out there which can do this, and if so, can anyone recommend one which they've personally used?

So far, I've tried WinFF, MediaCoder and Handbrake, but none were successful. I would have tried MPEGStreamClip, but it doesn't like the latest version of iTunes.

When playing back from a USB stick, I believe the supported formats are WMV (unprotected), Mpeg4, H.264 and AVI.
