Hello everyone - I'm the new dweebie girl. I've been reading this site for a long time but now have a question I cannot find the answer to so have joined and hope someone can help a bit.

I see someone had a similar problem with Vista. I have W.XP professional and have been using Peer Guardian for a while quite successfully. It seemed to block a lot. I download the odd music file so thought it best to have it. I've noticed that the last two days there is nothing in the blocked list and the List Manager is now empty. Any clues??

I've uninstalled P.G. and reinstalled from Phoenix but it just remembers the old one and doesn't give me any "First Timer Options" (hopefully you know what I'm talking about).

All seems a bit odd.

I have Norton antivirus if that's any help.

Also, I'm old so be nice - as I'm sure everyone here is :-)

I suggest you download a new version from a different computer. Dissconnect your self from the internet and reboot then uninstall and delete the holder then install again. The uninstall doesn't remove a settings file that has been 'fixed' so you need to delete the folder. You should be OK after that.

PG is under heavy attack these days. I believe the lists have been hacked as well. My anti-P2P lists have been blocked for updates for weeks. I was blocking safe sites because the list was wrong. The effort into anti-torrent activity is at least 4 times more than even 3 months ago. A new monster torrent survaliance site came on line this week funded by M$. It querries more than the rest of the world combined. I saw one spot where I was pinged 10 times in one second!
