whats going on? i have Ubuntu partitioned on my PS3 and i would like to know how to uninstall it without losing everything on my PS3 OS is there a way? i wanna upgrade the Harddrive so that i can re-install on a bigger HDD help would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance!!

i think it only can be done if u format the whole drive. u would need to backup everything before hand

To install all of your data you are going to have to make a backup using the PS3 backup utility. I don't think that the linux partition gets backed up though. In your scenario you will have to make a backup, swap hard drives, restore your backup. It is not bad though. If you got anything through a gameshare then those games will still be playable after a backup and restore.
