i got psp (phat 1000) from my mate, it has version 3.73. i took somenoe locally to put cfw on it. he couldn't downgrade because magicstick wasn't reading on psp, after several attempts he just gave up, stating this is japanese psp, he can't do it. i was thinking of myelf to get pandora/memorystick kit,but not sure now. any advice on this,

read some guides to make a magic memory stick and pandora battery or buy them from one of the dozen websites that have them for under $10-20
links for this are in my signature.
the guy that tried to do it for you didn't know what he was doing all psp phats can be modded with pandora battery and it doesn't matter what region its from
