Streamin videos won't play

I have been streamin videos from my computer to my ps3 for a couple of years. I have the file extensions .avi and all use to work perfectly. Now for some reason they don't play. The ps3 sees the media but won't play anyone with any idea? This sux right now

Are these the same .avi files or new ones?

It could also be that you're using a new media server... maybe. It could also be that you've moved the files and (if you're using WMP11 at least) have set your media server to keep those files listed even if they're gone.

I dunno, any of those doing it for you?

I could not get it to go so I was wondering if the last firmware caused it to stop. I was wondering if it was to stop people from viewing DVDSCRNRS or other downloaded content from the torrents. I installed java Media server and it seems to be working fine now. However I seen to have lost my network file sharing. I will see if this fixex the problem. The workgroup is not accessable and says I need to give permission and so I checked it out and the permission was proper. I will look deeper into this issue and post my results. Also I followed the instructions and registered the Divx media playback and I really don't see any great advantage of having it there. I am thinking of cleaning up my PS3 and rendering it back with a system restore and start over . Just a pain in the arse but might be able to save me headaches in the future.
