Modbo 745 or Modbo 4 work. I have recently attempted putting the modbo 745 into two 39001 and had some troubles. The modbo chip loader screen would come up but it wouldnt recognize the media. I have asked for some tips in soldering on the ps2 but no one has responded. Basically what you need is .3mm - .67mm rosin lead bearing solder. 15-30W or 330C fine tip soldering gun. 30 awg wire (small insulated wire) and 24 awg for vcc (3V) and ground (i found this wire in ethernet cable as well as telephone cord). Get some flux a pair of small pliers, toothpicks and a fiberglass pen (a small knife works too). you need the knife to scratch the silicon off of some of the copper pads and vias (small points on the copper track). scratch, add flux, tin the pad or via, tin the wire, add flux to the wire, then solder to the point. What you can do to strip the wire is use your soldering gun to burn it off. Also make sure you have a good tip cleaner or damp spunge. Take your time and practice first on a dead pcb board.
