Okay so i have been reading up on how to flash my xbox 360 during the past couple of days and figured out Most of everything i need to do in order for it to be successful, BUT i still have a few unanswered questions hopefully you all can help me with if could be soo kind :).
My Xbox 360 has the Hitachi 47DJ drive and i have already discovered how to flash it,somewhat.I want to use the USB connectivity kit V2. (http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/dd-360-xusb.html) which is good for me considering i have a Hitachi drive. so im guessing this is how i do it:
1. connect the Hitachi drive to my pc, Windows Vista 64bit, with the
USB kit
2. after it has detected the drive, i open the program,"auto xbins" and wait
for opening message, THEN locate the "Hacked Firmware" folder & click on
the Firmware needed for my Hitachi
(There are two suspected firmwares that are for my
Hitachi 47DJ drive as of Feb 12;
"iXtreme1.4_HitachiC4EVA" &
"C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth")
Question #1: C4EVA_XTRM seems to be the right one because when i open
it,from the videos & research i have been looking at,
looks familar. When i open iXtreme1.4, it comes up with
what I presume to be Downloading speeds? ex. 12x, 5x,etc.
WHICH ONE IS THE CORRECT ONE FOR MY HITACHI 47DJ??
3. now that i know which one to use, i click the Flash.bat file,which
will open the cmd prompt. it will then ask for my drive
letter, the drive letter where my Hitachi is located, type letter
in followed by ANY four numbers & BOOM my 360 is flashed!
P.S. if im wrong PLEASE PLEASE FILL ME IN!
Now heres where i get kind of confused:
i want to play my "Backed Up" games on Xbox Live.
Question #2 How do i do that?!?! -because what i have been researching, it is said that you
could get banned from xbox live if you play a backed up
game and surely i do NOT want that to happen.
From what i have been researching, it says that i need to plug in a certain extension into my Hitachi drive. research has shown me that i need to download & Install "FlashFXP & some sort of EvolutionX Dashboard?" then change in certain file names, Ex. "evoxdash.xbe to xboxdash.xbe" after all that bull, i will be able to play xbox live games with backed up disks.
Question #3 If i do need an EvolutionX Dashboard, where can i get it?
i already Downloaded FlashFXP im just looking for EvoX.
now i know its not safe for people to post link, but i
just need to know if its possible finding it online or
Downloading it through torrent. if you guys want and Can

Question #4 Am I correct in any way? i tried to make this as
UNCOMPLICATED as possible so that someone could help me
MY GOAL IN THIS PROJECT- Im trying to mod my Xbox360 to have the capability of playing regular and backed up games w/ also the option to play Xbox Live w/ whichever game it is, Backed up or Reg.
If i am wrong and you have a better procedure please dont hesitate! hopefully your input will benefit me and others with the same problems. HOPE TO FIND MY SOLUTION SOON!!! THANK YOU ALL!!
no matter what there is always chances of getting banned, just try to not play games before release dates, don;t switch between regular and backup version of a game(ex. if you play gow, if you play backup, stick to a backup, don;t switch between gow orig and gow backup), and you should be ok, i haven't been banned and i have been on xbox live for over 2 years now. use the ixtreme 1.4, that is the newest version to date for hitachi models. no evox with 360, no storing games on the hdd, this is not the original xbox. you ARE on the right track, keep doing what you are doing, run into any problems, don;t hesitate to come here and ask. or pm me.
