Several times now I have had to remove Ubuntu from my Vista machine. Part of the problem I have is, I will play a game or do something 3d and the machine will completely lock up. After a lock up like that the only option left is to hard shut down the computer with the on/off switch. This usually causes some sort of problem with the display (little white dashes all over) and a problem booting Vista AND Ubuntu. It seems to me the problem is caused by the Nvidia drivers installed to the Ubuntu partition. Still not sure if this is actually the case. Anyone have any ideas or solutions to this. I need to boot Ubuntu, as it seems to be the best solution for my C++ programming. To be honest I wouldn't mind running a different distro of linux if that is the proper solution.

It was in the windoze area because I suspect the driver/display problems come from playing games using fista.

I'm not going to help anyway.. people who own M$ crap like that, then try dual booting another semi proprietary load of rubbish like n00buntu deserve all the problems they get XD

How was n00buntu installed.. that hopeless wubi installer?

I'm not sure about the wubi thing. I used the "Install through windows" option or something similar. Should I go back to booting onto a cleaned off partition?
