I've visited this forum several times and it's always been really helpful, so I've decided to join to ask a question that I've found no help for in the hopes that some of the great people here can answer it.
I've been trying to extract some music from a Skies of Arcadia Legends disc image that isn't on the soundtrack (De Loco's theme, Clara's theme, Dark Rift music, Maria's theme, etc). I've managed to extract all of the files into a folder and I've managed to play all of the .dsp files in winamp.
My issue is that the .dsp files are mostly the sound effects in the game. As far as I've been able to tell, the music is contained in other files with extension .samp that all have an accompanying .info file. For example, there's f3000028.samp and f3000028.info. I've tried opening the .info file in a text editor (without much hope) and got nonsense. I haven't been able to find any information on .samp files; they don't seem to exist on google. Winamp won't play them, and neither will VLC or KMPlayer.
My goal is to be able to dump the music into a .wav file or other similar file type without conversion, or at the very least be able to convert it to an .mp3 or an .m4a would be even better.
Can anyone give me any advice? I'd really appreciate it.
