I got a benq drive xbox360> I want to mod it but I have no idea how. I have searched online but it is written so damn complicated. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can flash my drive.

Honestly, if you can't understand a tutorial which someone has spent quite a fair amount of time putting together with pictures and step by step directions, how do you expect someone to be able to tell you here (or in any other forum, for that matter) with a quick, few sentence response and expect to understand it any better than a tut?

1. Make a bootable jumpdrive
2. Copy dosflash 1.7 to the jumpdrive (2 files, "dosflash.exe" and "dosflash.typ"
3. Boot into dos
4. type dosflash.exe and hit enter
5. choose your corresponding number for your drive (usually 6) might say something like PLDS or PLGS
6. hit R for read
7. Type a file name for your original firmware (example= orig.bin)
8. Let it finish reading and boot back into windows
9. Obatin the iXtreme 1.5 firmware for BenQ
8. Get Firmware Toolbox 4.8 and open it up
9. Load your orig.bin file and copy your dvd key to a text document
10. Load the ix1.5 firmware for benq and copy in your dvd key and save it
11. Copy the new ix1.5 benq firmware to your bootable jumpdrive
12. Boot back into dos and type dosflash.exe
13. choose your corresponding port
14. type W for write
15. type your ix15 file name
16. Let it erase and write
17. enjoy
a side note.. when you see dosflash listing your sata ports and you see the benq drive, make sure it's status is 0x73, if not, before you hit the corresponding number, power cycle the drive within one second, that will put it into 0x73 status (vendor mode)
